If it's like the older models just hold the top right and lower right buttons down to gether while its on; worth a try anyway.

So on an EB Fairmont Ghia, what buttons do you hold down? On my car, the air won't blow on my feet. I'm wondering what might cause that.

Thanks
Tris

Engine warm, ignition on press the top right (off) and bottom right (under the flap - hot onto feet) at the same time. It should go through a test sequence then either flash an error code ("E1" to "E7" or if OK display the "Off" sign."

E1 = ECU
E2 = Blend Dooe Servo
E3 = Cabin Sensor
E4 = Solar Sensor
E5 = Ambient Sensor
E6 = Evaporator Sensor
E7 Engine Sensor

usually if there is anything wrong with the climate control, it will flash 3 times when you turn the ignition on.

Re: Testing Climate Control

Bit of thread mining here, but anyone know how to test it in an EF Fairmont?

Re: Testing Climate Control

Same as the AU2, engine must be warm, press mode and off buttons at the same time. Igniton on - temp should show 88.8 during test. If no faults, the display will read "OFF" otherwise it will display fault codes E1 to E8. If you have multiple error codes, these can be accessed by pressing the Auto button. To clear codes, repeat self test twice.

cheers
