Trim Colour

I've got a white EA S Pak, and I'm thinking of painting the trim white to match the body colour, but leaving the red stripe as it is.

Has anyone done / seen this and know if it looks any good? Also, are there any special considerations when painting plastic components of the car like the trim?

It's done all the time in the rice/4cyl scene mainly to Civics and it can look alright but I imagine it would be highly impractical. Apart from the glare, just think what a bitch it would be to keep it free from marks and dirt.

Having said that, it would be quite different and may look really good if done properly. Sorry I can't offer any advice as to how it would be done.
