Ok Here goes went to install trip computer and the wiring loom i have is differnat colours to what my workshop manual says and the colours are also differant to the ford installation instructions.

I have following colours on trip computer loom

White / black stripe
Black / green stripe
Green / yellow stripe
Brown
Yellow / green stripe
Black / white stripe
Yellow / black stripe
Black
Red / black stripe
White

now all the post's that i have looked at i dont have some of these colours and i have some colours that the posts dont. Got me really pissed of i saw a post on here identifying pin numbers i guess if i run the corrosponding pin number regarless if the colour is defferant to the correct wires i think it should work as all ea - ed trip computers are interchangable so it must mean the pin number dont chage place maybee my loom is just differant.

Any1 get what i mean or have i lost everyone.

Here is what i used when i installed my TC in my GL:

White/Black - Ghia dash only, activates the warning buzzer.
Black - GND
Brown - To parking lamps
Black/White - This is the dimmer wire - runs to the central controller or ground if you have a GL
Green/Purple - Serial input - Goes to the ECU pin 34 i think
Red - To speedo sensor
Yellow/Green - To fuel tank sender unit/Fuel guage
Red/Green - Ign Power +12V
Yellow/Black - To batt power +12V

Ive connected mine as above and it works ok
