howdy all

i am in the middle of putting el door cards into the eb and all is good except for this last little snag.

the controls for the side mirrors are built into the drivers door card...all i need to know is what position on each pin of the plug does it do?

I am going out to a wreckers own to get the plug so i can just crip the existing wires onto the new pulg and it will fit together nicely.

"Door cards"? Do you mean the door trims? Please post some pics. I am dying to do this neat little conversion. How did you go about the locks (as they aren't visible in the passenger doors)? Did they fit in without any dramas?

I dont have the mirror connector diagram but u could try using a multimeter to probe the wires. U should be able to figure it out this way.

OK the wiring of the mirrors is not so different between the EB and EL.

Red wire on the EB is same as Red on EL
Violet wire on EB is same as Violet on the EL
Blue on the EB connects to Dark Blue on the EL.
Black to Black
Violet/Red to Violet Red.

Note that there are seperate Violet and Blue (D Blu in EL) to each mirror going into the switch so only issue to to make sure the V and D-B wires are correct.

LH door connector in your EB has 4 pins and RH (drivers) door connector has 6 pins with 5 wires.
The EL has one 8 pin connector
Pin
1 - Dark Blue to LHS
2 - Dark Blue to RHS
3 - Red to both mirrors
4 - Violet/Red +12v
5 - Violet to RH mirror
6 - Black - chassis
7 - Violet to LH mirror
8 - spare (empty)
