Variable intermittent wipers?

Have any Falcons come out with variable intermittent wipers? (manually adjustable, not road-speed dependent as I know those exist)

Re: Variable intermittent wipers?

EF/EL Futuras (maybe GLI's as well?) have straight out user controlled variable, and the Fairmonts have the same plus roadspeed sensitivity.

Re: Variable intermittent wipers?

Thanks for the replies. Lamah, when you say pricey to replace do you mean the stalk?

Ok, next question then, would it be possible to change to a Futura or Fairmont BCM, and chuck in a stalk to get variable intermittent?

Ok, next question then, would it be possible to change to a Futura or Fairmont BCM, and chuck in a stalk (or just put a rheostat switch on the dash) to get variable intermittent?

Re: Variable intermittent wipers?

You can buy a kit from Dick smith, or I think even k-mart have had them to make variable wiper speed, you would just have to add it to intermitmitent by cutting the wires.

Re: Variable intermittent wipers?

Yeah, I *think* (it would pay to check, it was a couple of years ago), that Ford quoted me $200 to fix the stalk (it was a replacement - non-servicable item). I was spewing, since I think they broke it while they were fiddling behind the dash.
I told them where to shove it, and haven't got around to fixing it yet :) oh well...
