Hey just wondering if anyone has a mechanical water temp gauge in there XF. I have tried to mount the sender in the top of the thermostat housing but have found the copper sender is to long, and i cant get a good seal. I dont want a elect gauge, so am wondering if anyone knows of a brand that would have a smaller sender or a better place to mount the sender.

What about using a spacer?? I had to run one in my MG as I had the same problem you currently have.

yeah i looked into that, and went into pirtek but they had nothing that would raise it up a little bit.
