its a long shot but is there any way of fixing it without pulling the heater box out? if not how the hell do you get them out???

Hey while we're here, My climate when its set to face/foot it blows ambient temp air to face and warm air to foot (when set to 24 degree's for example) is this normal??

Yes, that's normal operation. Irritating at times. Best way to warm up quickly is foot only or depending on model foot and demist.

blend door = remove dash, degass a/c, empty coolant, remove heater box, fix problem, re-install in reverse.

it may just be the little motor on top of the box that is stuck and not working, in that case you can kinda get to it, without removing heater box, but dash must come out.

cool thanks jase, i'll give it a go in a few weeks. also can i re use my heater box and just replace the blend door or do i need a whole different heater box?

hay
yeah if it shows up e2 it will just be the motor , the heaterbox don't need to come out
if the door was broken off the cc unit would not show up a fault as it has no it way of knowing if it is broken off
it will be the motor

thanks mate ill try that first then, hopefully it fixes it, im getting sick of cold morning starts with no heater.

u sould be able to see if it is working
if u just pull the glove box out it is at the top of heater box to the right
