OK...well the other morning I was driving, as you do, and all of a sudden my indicators stopped working.
It doesn't flash on the dash, or outside. Also when I try and keep my high-beams on they dont work either..BUT if I pull it towards me to flash my high beams they work :/
I looked at the fuses, the indicator fuse (cant remember the exact name) was dead, so I replaced that (the yellow one that is 20A). That didn't fix it.
Does anyone know whats going on? How wierd is that?! Its a 88 Fairmont Ghia BTW.
I dont particluarly like sticking my arm out when I need to turn...lol

checked the relays, turn lamps is next to the fuses in the car, the high beam is under the bonnet near the battery, does the hazard circuit button stil lwork (on top of steering columm).

um nope harazds are dead too. Ill check the relays out when I get back home. I dont have a multimeter for those who ask.
ok now this is the first time ive had to check the fuses. Is a relay the same thing? *ducks from laughter*

ok pull put all the indicator globes and test them direct on the battery to see they work for a start, then replace them one by one testing as you go, sounding like a strange problem you are having.
do low beam, and wipers etc work, maybe you steering column wiring has gone wrong, very wrong :0)

ok ill check the wiper thing later....Are the relays the 4 biggish boxes to the left of the fuses? Can I just pull them out? I didn't want to break them thats all.

ok..like i said the yellow fuse was dead..relaced that and nothing. I checked the flasher relay and its all black inside, so im hoping thats it.
How much should a new one cost?....Not from Ford..lol
