Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram they could copy and email to me or give to NZinAUS and he will scan and email to me. I need a diagram for either the full radio circut including speakers if possible or a full diagram for the car. It is a 94 Fairmont, with the Mid series stereo. Thankyou very much

If the car is a Late ED, then check out,

If it is an Early EF, then check out,

These have the Wire Colours, and there respective connections.

If there is any further info that you need, lemme know, as I can/will add it to the website, so others can use it !

I forgot to say it is an EF. Just bought it, had more problems with this in 2 weeks, than the old EA Ghia in 6 years!!!

Thanks for your reply. The info is very helpful. Do you know or anyone else know if there should be voltage coming out for the positive of each speaker? That way I could test if it is the head unit that is stuffed or the

. Or if there is other fuses in the circut other than the ones in the fuse block. Thanks very much

is it just me or does the premium deck on the EF wiring guide have no connectors for the Rear speakers?

Yeah, The EF/EL Premium Systems use an Amplifier for the Back speakers. (NO Speaker Outputs on the deck, Only 3 RCA Outs for the Back, which are connected to the amp)
The Plug on the Back of the Deck has the wires connected to it, but they are not physically connected inside.

As for the speaker Voltages, If you use an AC Multimeter, set on a low level, you should be able to get a reading on both the Positive, and Negative speaker Lines.

Whats the problem with the deck, No sound, but switches On ???

yip correct, it turns on and all the digits come up, the aerial goes up, but no sound from any of the speakers. Thanks
