Hey All,,
I have noticed that some of you have made up custom dash's for your cars... i was wondering how involved this is... as i was gonna do it in my spare time to an xf cluster...

any tips or any special tools i need..

Hey Jono, have you got any pics of what you are talking about.
You shouldnt need any special tools to get into your dash.

very simple to get to the cluster.

2 screws on top of the dash under some little plastic clips.
2 screws under the dash holding the black surround bit on(the bit with the switches attached)
pull the black surround off, remember to unplug the switch plug things. label them if you can't remember what goes where.
4 screws hold the cluster in place. you can see them once you have the black surround off.
2 plugs are located on the bottom of the cluster, you will need to take off the switch panel bit (the part the fuse's sit behind) to get to these. Unplug them and your cluster will come right out.

From there you can see how to get inside the cluster.
