XG dash

I Have a XG ute with a 5 speed Manual Problem is I don't have a tacho. My mate suggested a S pack dash but i was just wondering what are all the options and also price and how hard installation is

Re: XG dash

An XG S dash would be an easy swap, you will need to change the oil pressure switch to an oil pressure sender though.

Re: XG dash

Based on what you have to do to fit the mid series dash into EA to ED base series wiring an EA to ED S Pack Dash will fit with additional wiring for tacho, low coolant light and a mod for the voltmeter. You also need oil pressure sender - now about $75 new.

The XG S Pack dash is nicer looking as it has white numerals and markings. The E series dash has yellow numerals and markings

I have an EB series II S-Pack dash and it has smart lock and power switch that is going in the Ute over Christmas so I should have info then. I'm going to install it first without any wiring mods to see what works

Re: XG dash

Hi all..

All falcon's XD onwards had universal style wiring.. meaning, if you want to plug in a sports dash, you just rip the old standard one out and plug in the new one.. As suggested though you will need to change the oil pressure switch.

Re: XG dash

Put the EB Series 2 sports dash in the XG today. Bolted in in 15 minutes. Everything works except handbrake light - probably bulb. Haven't looked for low coolant wiring under the bonnet yet. Hell of a lot easier than upgrading an EB

Biggest job is changing the oil pressure switch

Thanks xeclevo51 - saved me a bunch of effort
