Question 2.5 0r 3.0 ltr

can anyone help,i have a Granada V6 in a jet boat which is been a sweet little runner, when sold to me it was said to be a 3.0 ltr but i suspect it to be a 2.5,there is a few numbers on the block but none make real sense,is there anyone out there that can decode these or another website that may help?.I can give the numbers if anyone interested........

3.0 engine code begins HY, 2.5 is SY.

Yeah thanx for your quik reply,I had heard that option but to no prevail,the only numbers are on the left hand side 6015AA,702F,T5,and they are moulded into the block,and where I expected to find the HY or SY numbers,[on the top rear face of the block behind the inlet manifold above flywheel],I have stamped into the block 1D16 and 7777,so without taking the head off and calculating the bore and stroke,I am still stumped!!!!!!Cheers anyway!

Do both chokes open at once? If so it's a 38 DGAS (should be on the carb somewhere) which was fitted to the 3.0
