I am currently working to rebuild a 1966 Ford GT40. It ran the Sebring race and LeMans test days 1966. It was part of the Alan Mann race team. I am needing to obtain photo details of the car, especially photos of underbody details, any type of historical data relating to the car or race team and anyone who can supply parts for the car. I will most definitely be needing several parts for the rebuild. If it would be possible to make a person to person contact with someone who is or was involved with Alan Mann racing in 1966, would also be great!! Picture of AM GT40/1 at LeMans,1966 attached.
Rex I have some minor info from a regsitry but you may already have this.It lists you as the current owner of AM GT-1 of course but has previous owners and some production figures but not too much more.It has a very brief history on your car and the AM GT-2.If you want this info then let me know and I can post it up.
I love that car. The GT 40 is one of the best looking racecars ever made and one of my favorite Fords. Wish I had some detail info for you, I'd send it to you. What a grat project to work on. We may even see you and the car on SpeedVision one day. Good luck with it Rex.

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.

Has to be the best Ford made of all time in my book. You are one lucky guy.
Ditto. Up there with the great Ferrari's of the 60's. Very elite company.
Mate this car ate ferraris for breakfast and shitted them out the next day. This car was lethal, a true beast, hencethe reaosn it was outlawed from Le Mans racing.
