Thats right guys Roaring 40's is entering a GT40 into this years 24hr Bathurst race in class 10. They are in the process already of preparing the car which includes 18inch wheels.Maybee they can show that yellow lemon about a thing or two.
The roaring 40's back,This almost seems like we've gone back in time to the 60's 70's.Ford winning on the track again,The GT's back, the GT-40's back,go Ford.

I read a Street Machine article about these cars. Yes they are a full replica of a GT 40 and not the real deal.
Roaring Forties is an Aussie company that builds the best GT40 replicas in the world apparantly. You can buy a turn key one off them for about $130,000 that is completely legal.
Here is some more info:
Engine: SVO 302 EFI crate motor
Body: Full fibreglass kit
Trans: Audi 016 6 speed
It will be interesting to see what they can do in race spec. For anyone interested the issue of SM is June 2002. I actually read it last nite! Talk about coincedince
Wow I hope this does happen! I can't think of a more awesome sight than a GT40 flying down Conrod as the sun is rising! There is no greater Ford IMO than the GT40. The car built to thrash Ferrari at Le Mans - and it did! "Can't buy 'em, beat 'em"
I know its only going to be a replica, but still, its going to rock. Its going to be very interesting to see what sort of performance it has too.

I actually went down to the shop last year with a couple of guys from work. It was awesome. Robert Logan is a champ, took the time to show us everything around the shop. He had 4 of them in there being built. He has a few full time staff, they build everything from scratch and I mean everything, prob the only thing they don't build is the gearbox. He seems to be a bit of a ford nut as well. I suggest if you have a day to spare to give him a call and see if you can get the grand tour like we did.

I agree, Robert Logan is a champ. He hosted the GT club down there about 2 years ago, and I was totally blown away and fell in love with a car I had never seen before.
For the earlier post wanted to see a 500HP 427, well its better than that. 480HP from a 302 with full Motec. The cars are truly an awesome performance option. I would certainly take one before a Monaro 427.
I have often thought it would be a good racing option if someone came up with the money. For Robert and his employees sake, I hope they take the mountain apart. They certain deserve it.
Cheers
