GT40 for GTP Racing?? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Just reading about the new GT (GT40 but we can not use this name because Ford don't own the name anymore), this would be a great sight to see racing agaist the Dodge Vipers and the monaros (which is nothing like a monaro more like a V8 Supercar).

So if there any on out there with a spare $230,000+ to go racing, all the best!!!

Hmmm yeah I wish. If money was no object you would see me (or a better driver) competing in the GTP in a brand spanking 2003 Ford GT(40).

It would be sweet if Ford could take on the big boys in the GT(40). If it did, I'd hope it would burn that "monaro"

how much go go does the monaro have? i not eh gt will have 500hories and their aim is to beat the ferarri 550 on the road but what does bowe drive agian?

7 litre engine in the monaro, somewhere around 400 kW I think.

The Australian company Roaring Fordies, who make the GT40 kit cars are the ones looking at entering one of it's kit cars in the Bathurst 24 hour.

I remember reading an artical about it a while ago, there has been a fair amount of interest.

The car is supposed to run an injected 5 litre engine and they are currently look at gearboxes, that will stand up to the condition.
