AUS: Best Month Ever for Mazda
The February result, which is 45.2 per cent up on the same month last year, pushed Mazda Australia beyond 4000 sales for just the second time in its history. The company’s previous best result was 4118 sales in June 2001.
Last month’s result followed record January sales when Mazda sold 3860 vehicles.
So far this year Mazda has sold 7988 vehicles, an increase of 2454 or 44.3 per cent on last year.
Mazda’s strong start to the year has encouraged Mazda management to revise its 2003 sales target from 42,000 to 43,500, an increase of 4348 on last year’s record-breaking sales total.
The managing director of Mazda Australia, Malcolm Gough said: “To follow our best-ever January sales with an all-time record for the company proves once again that the Mazda brand and its product line-up is stronger than ever”.
Sales highlights for the month include best-ever sales for Mazda6 (976 sales), while the Tribute (593 sales) had its best month since September and the B Series (437 sales) posted its best monthly performance since June last year.
