MAZDA NAMING NEW PRESIDENT - OR NOT?
Will Mazda soon have a new president? Japanese daily Nihon Keizai Shimbun
reports that Ford's president of Asia Pacific Operations, Lewis Booth,
will be named to head Japan's fifth-largest automaker next June, replacing
current president Mark Fields. However a Mazda spokesman told Reuters that
there are no plans for more management changes. Fields, 41, has been
president since 1999; Booth, 53, is joining Mazda this week as a senior
advisor for corporate strategy.
