Mazda6 MPS concept features more aggressive-look, all-wheel drive

Designers at Mazda’s Oberursel, Germany, design center set out to build a more aggressive-looking Mazda 6 and the result is the Mazda 6 MPS concept. It features a new version of the company’s five-pointed grille as well as an air intake design similar to that on the upcoming RX-8. Flared-wheel arches make way for 18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Power comes from a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine driving an all-wheel-drive system. No decision has been made on whether the car will see production.
However, nothing on the car is a major leap from production, so if the entire car doesn’t make it, certain aspects from the concept can be easily incorporated into a production car.
