Grandpa's EA charger for sale- the time is nigh.

Howdy

It truly is a sad time for this died in the ears blue oval man but nothing can go on without change, o so many memories go with her......

Unfourtunately I have to sell my trusty old charger and move on to more greener fields. I've decided I won't get nowt trading in my 88 EA at a Ford dealer for a new AU III XR8 220. I've been saving for a new car since 1997, essentially after I lost my XB GT, so its a long time comming.

I honestly do not want to sell this car but I have convinced my wife in getting a big V8 again and I don't want her to change her mind, lol. I believe I've done all that can be done generally to modify the car, without doing any serious mucking around.

This car has been owned all this time by me and my family and it has been well looked after. She does mostly country miles 80% of the time and is not treated like a two bob racer. She has 'full' (everything from oil changes to tyre rotations to motor overhauls) log books going as far back as Feb88 :D

Here are the specs-

1988 EA Falcon GL sedan- 295,200ks young
3.9l CFI sedan (I have all the parts to convert to MPEFI and I
can do it for you if you want for free!)
*OHC internals tweaked-vavles/springs OHC fully blueprinted-
with crow cam now as well. Fully reco'd motor and more.
This motor has done less thna 40k on it, and still feels young.
She dishes out now 127KW and feels she has allot more
power avaliable. Motor recently inspected at 294k , fully
checked out. She is running Mobil 1 and no cheap oil should
used in her.
*Pacemacker extractors, std exhaust can fit 2.5 exhaust if
you want, for about $100 extra.
*3 speed transmission recently serviced and slightly tweaked.
*near new Yokohama 14" A509 tyres- std motorcraft
suspension, can fit monroe's for a slight bit extra- $120
ED Xr8 rear sway bar- $70
* DBA gold rotors(still warranted) crossed drilled at the front
with ED XR8 calipers at front, std at back. All new pads
fitted.New calipers recently fitted to rear as well. When this
baby stops she really stops!
* ED radiator fitted and recently serviced. Can fit 'desert
radiator' for 150 bucks extra.
*full respray of the car in morrocan beige though it almost
looks like a light ivory in my opinion.
*EB II casette deck. Bluapunkt CD player- $100- 5 months old.
*Interior could do with new carpet and or
'minor' internal refinishing. Though I can get you up a whole
new EB/ED interior cheap. Though I think its fine for a car as
old as this but.
* All rust removed from car.
* This car has never truly broken down ever in its 15yr life, apart from battery going flat and a flat tyre or two !

Will provide a 5.000k (or 10k country ks WCF) warranty on car, as long as you live close to the workshop (100-300ks), lol

Will suit young enthusiast/mechanic and or petrol head and the motor is well geared and will now take some serious mods due to the blueprinting. I can source a T5 tranny if you want. It has been well looked after and Im seeking another like minded Ford owner to look after her well. Well even if I sell her I'll have to drive my wife's Hyundai, I need no pity I'll hide my head in shame.

Till one morning I drove home a new Xr8
and be once more a renewed BLUE OVAL man!

Price - $4,200 (BTW free fitting of MPEFI unit :) and all
parts :) ) A car in this condition is rare to find
unless a old Grandpa is selling it :) Not negotatible.
Though I will negotaite on the parts prices.

contact- harkonnen18@hotmail.com, no tie kickers!

Long Live my mighty EA!

Grandpa Henry

nice donk.

Seriously interested in your unit, does the MPEFI kit come with the car as well as the install? With that I may get around um 127+19kw= 146KW and probably lots more torque than a std EA, what the torque figure?
What condition are the electrics?

will be in touch

go the EA!

Re: grandpa

Grandpa lives on the leafy outskirts of Singleton, where the grass is green and the roads are long
and straight with a few curves along the way in 'kattle country'. There is a rundown of my EA in other EA's in the picture section BTW.

No im not a car salesman I know my car back to front thats all. Like I hope most of this websites
patrons do as well?

This website is the quickest way to sell a car, man I'llsy this is better than the trading post !
I've already got 5 genuine enquiries, one from interestate!
we'll see the colour of their money first though.

SOLD.

Howdy

We'll its seems the owner of my charger is now the Fonz, after he parted with his hard earned dosh. He went for a test drive and was impressed. So now im looking for a new car (preferable of Falcon lineage) to stay blue. Im fitting a few goodies for him to make to car into a 'authorised Holden destroyer'. Congrats Fonzerelli welcome to the wierd and wonderful world of EA's. Jackster (illsy) better make my car under new management, the Fonz will give the new details soon after she leaves the workshop with a few new bits and on the the bitumen. Owning a EA has been great worlds apart from my XB GT and Im going to move onto something better now- XR8 or something like that. The Fonz has big things planned for his car.Until then its a Hyundau Lantra for me :(

Long live the EA!
