Anyone claimed warranty to fix the pen holder and business card holder? - Ford Forums

To me - it is a manufacturers fault that the pen holder does not actually hold a pen, and the business card holder does not actually hold business cards... With this in mind, has anyone made a warranty claim to get Ford to fix these small issues? These are obvious manufacturer errors, as they do not do what they are claimed to do.

According to my understanding of law, Ford can change specifications 'without notice', but from what I have seen, they still claim there is a pen holder and business card holder in the centre console.

I am thinking that Ford would not want a bad (somewhat silly) press or TV article saying that they have to fix every Territory due to a faulty centre console lid.

How would you suggest they fix the problem? The only thing I can think of if they revise the plastic mouldings you could have an updated one fitted.

I have a five years manufacturers warranty on the Terri. I am hoping they will fix it in the next model, and if it is backward compatible - then yes Ford should replace my centre console lid !!!!.

My holds a pen no problems at all but not sure on where the business cards are supposed to go?

What brand / type of Pen is it, or better still maybe can you post a picture of the Pen. :-)

Here is a piccy of the pen in the holder. Sorry for the quality but took it with my Norkia phone. The pen is a Uni brand. If anyone can tell me where the business cards are supposed to go I'll give that a go too.

The business card holder sits directly above the pen holder - where that flat area is (when the lid is upright), but it is not present on the Territory console lids, but is on BA Falcons.

Ah the plot thickens! I've commented on this little annoyance in other threads. Maybe its time for somebody at Ford to tell us what exactly Ford had in mind with this little mind-teaser. Our late Commodore had a little "gutter" on the top edge of the console to hold the pen - this did the job admirably. As for a business card holder this shouldn't require an Einstein to design.

Excellent. Thanks. So, are you confirming then, that when you close (drop) the console lid, the pen actually stays in the holder?.
