Cargo barrier/load restraint with 3rd row seat

Any idea where I can get a cargo barrier fitted that will allow to remove it for the very odd occasion when I use the 3rd row.

PS I'm in Melbourne

Re: Cargo barrier/load restraint with 3rd row seat

The model for Milford Vehicle Load Restraints for the Ford Territory is:
SX 1/06/2004 - The quote I got today from Accessory World http://www.accessoryworld.com.au/ is:

The purchase price for a cargo barrier to suit a Ford Territory is $407 including GST but not freight.

The fitting price is $99 including GST

I understnd this is removable once installed. This is on my list of "to get" in good time. I have seen the Milford add in a 4 WD mag where it shows that in a roll over the Load Restraint helps in roof crush protection as well stops things flying from the load space.

I originally sent my enquiry to Milford and got the reply from Accessory World.

I know nothing about Accessory World so I am not making any promotion of this palce.

Re: Cargo barrier/load restraint with 3rd row seat

Make sure you check it fits the 3 row model. The floor may be higher with the seat folded flat than a 5 seater. The Milford web site says it is for a 5 seat model.

If it does fit let me know and I'll get one too.

BTW I had one in my Subaru and having installed it and removed it a few times I wouldn't pay the $99 they charge - you can do it in about 15 minutes.

Re: Cargo barrier/load restraint with 3rd row seat

Both Milford and Ford tell me their products are definitely only for 5 seat models. I still think it must be possible to adapt their products for a 7 seater but has anyone found a cargo barrier for a 7 seater?

Re: Cargo barrier/load restraint with 3rd row seat

Not much room for cargo behind the third row of the Terri - better than all of the Japanese wagons but this is an aspect which disappointed me a little, hoping that Ford would at least try to match the Chrysler Voyager in this respect. I would think that with the space that the barrier fitment takes up you would be left with sfa storage space. I'm also put off cargo barriers by those horror stories of kids locking themselves in the back and dying. Hasn't anybody invented an openable cargo barrier?
