My new territory is in the workshop getting a tinting problem fixed and dealer said it was fixed but they were going keep car a bit longer to replace drive shaft which is being recalled...he only left message on my phone so don't know what its all about...anyone else know?

Not accurate. Believe recalls must be published in newspapers and I havent seen anything. He might be talking about a technical bulletin for service departments - recommended vehicle updates that are done during normal servicing.

got me buggered then... they said something about drive shaft had come in so they would fit it before i could pick up vehilce...stupidly i erased the message so can't check exact details....

My car sat at Broadmeadows for 3 weeks with the drive shaft recall, got sent out on a truck and brought back to the plant. built feb registered next wednesday

I have a Dec 04 Ghia does any one know what the symptoms are ? Mine seems to have a whine and chatter.

I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

spoke to the dealer today something about a bad batch of drive shafts at factory, apparently they were doing ghia's when bad shafts were fitted.. my car was built around the 15th-20th feb....sorry i cant be more helpful...

I have a Dec 04 Ghia, and everything (except the parts that are supposed to make a noise) are silent. I have had no problems with 7,000Kms on her, and it goes fine. This 'recall' is it for Rear Wheel Drive models or AWD models? I have the AWD, and frequently drive the car under HARD acceleration, and everything feels fine. My car may have missed the cut off although.
