Ford Heavy Duty Tow Pack

Can someone please post a picture (fitted) of the Ford Heavy Duty Tow Pack. In particular, I am interested to see how far out the receiver sits from the rear bumper bar - so a pic with and without the hitch would be good.

Can someone also please advise what you "get" when you have this fitted?

I.e - you obviously get the receiver; the hitch; the wiring harness - what else do you get?

Lastly, has anyone fitted the Hayman Reese brand unit to the Territory, and how far out does it's receiver sit from the bumper?

Re: Ford Heavy Duty Tow Pack

Does anyone know why the Ford website lists the Territory trailer wiring kits that go with the Standard and Heavy Duty Tow packs like this:

As listed on the HD Tow Pack link -

SX 15A417 A - Trailer Wiring Kit – All models except RWD without reverse sensing
SX 15A417 B - Trailer Wiring Kit – RWD without reverse sensing

According to the above info, I would need the "A" version - for an AWD with Reverse Sensing, but....

As listed on the Standard Tow Pack link -

SX 15A417 A - Trailer Wiring Kit (RWD & AWD - Without Reverse Sensing)
SX 15A417 B - Trailer Wiring Kit (RWD & AWD - With Reverse Sensing)

Which would indicate I would need the "B" version???

I cannot see for the life of me why the required wiring kit would be different between the Standard and HD tow packs??? This is surely a mistake??? Can anyone advise which kit is needed for an AWD with R/Sensing???

Re: Ford Heavy Duty Tow Pack

You need the B set. The difference is that the wiring set with the reverse sensors shuts them off when a trailer is attached.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I realise that the "with Reverse Sensors" wiring kit shuts off the system when a trailer is attached.....but, their two descriptions contradict each other.

One description says the "A" set is the correct one, the other description says the "B".

Do you know for absolutely sure that it is the "B" set needed when you have Reverse Sensing fitted?
