Ford Heavy Duty Towbar??!!!???

Hi All,
I had the Ford Heavy Duty Towbar fitted when I bought my Territory and thought I would read through that section in the manual before towing a horse float for the first time and noticed this little gem of marketing from Ford in the Territory owners manual:
For convenience, the Ford approved Heavy Duty Towbar is supplied with a 1600kg capacity gooseneck.....
For convenience!!! Whose convenience??? Fords financial convenience I say, as the Ford approved 2300kg gooseneck must be purchased separately!!!
Why don't they tell you that when you buy the bloody thing!!
Just like selling you the rear recovery point AND the heavy duty towbar!!!
Money, money, money....

Just get one from Hayman Reese and slip in there, bound to be cheaper than Ford.

Anything is cheaper than Ford, but why supply a light duty tow hitch when you order a heavy duty towbar???

I SHOULD have a rear recovery point for sale - but I doubt it!!!
(Well I paid for a rear recovery point AND HD towbar)....

Re: Ford Heavy Duty Towbar??!!!???

On that point, do you think an AWD towing roughtly 1900kg would need to have aftermarket transcooler(s) fitted???
