Ford Territory Turbo!!!!

Hi Guys,
Just opened the latest Wheels magazine and they have a story titled:
BUSTED Turbo Territory
The Turbo has a top mounted intercooler with a bottom scoop half way between a WRX and a Mini Cooper S.
It was spotted undergoing outback testing along with a group of all FPV vehicles.
Bigger wheels, lower ride height etc.
Ford declined to comment on its existance.
Regards
Rocket

Re: Ford Territory Turbo!!!!

I heard someone say it was getting a bonnet scoop like a WRX about 6 months ago because they have no room in the front bar for an intercooler.

I have just been talking to a local Ford wrecker and was talking about the Territory, asking what I thought about it etc.
Then he said, they will be even better when the diesel is released, and proceeded to tell me that there are quite a few prototypes running around undergoing evaluation and that the turbo is still quite a long way off.
Maybe this is a Turbo Diesel???

Re: Ford Territory Turbo!!!!

I honostly cant imagine the 6 auto getting any better economy around town, but i do think it will help on the freeway cruise if the 6th ratio is taller than the 4th in the 4 speed - i still think they should put the 6 auto in there, but it may actually get a little worse around town as the engine has to go through the rev range more times to get to the same speed. Just don't expect the 6 auto to get many more miles per gallon or less litres per 100km and u wont be disappointed when it comes out
