DEFINATELY liked the original better..

This one looks a bit soft for my liking..

Still, it makes no difference to me, I can't see myself ever wanting to purchase this sort of vehicle..

FordLover, the only great mind is yours mate, if you see me you'll realise why
.

I was at the pre-opening today and have attached a few shots. I also got a shot with Seaton and Besnard but I am not going to post it because it has my ugly ass face on it.

No I like it. I think Ford have toned it down from the R7 concept because it looked to aggressive. Remember this things are marketed for Mum's and people with self-confidence issues (my little stab at 4WD drivers :s6:) I think when FPV get their hands on it is when they'll slap on the R7-style body kit! Plus they will chuck in the Boss 260 to heave groceries 10 times quicker. Or so gangstaZ and playerZ can get away from the drive-by in 6.2 seconds hahaha :s2: Forget the ideal of a Turbo 6 in one of these it just wouldn't have enough low-down torque to get it going and remeber what about the lag. These things will way 600kg more then an XR6-T and thats alot more strain on that engine.

If Ford don't end up using lightweight material the Territory will weigh about 2tonnes - just a guesstimate seeing it in the flesh. The 220 engine will have lots of trouble...and imagine the fuel economy...ouch. But i do hope it gets the smoked lights and a little more garnish around the grille, less chrome perhaps.

I would much rather the R7 concept than the territory, but I felt the same way with the monaro concept... I hate the production version. So it's not all that bad.

Price will be the main problem I think. I've heard starting points anywhere from high 30s to low 50s

It looks too small, I prefer the Explorer which seems to get no attention, that has a V8 too, with a 5 speed auto, IRS and 7 seats with dual climate control, and low range.... Maybe if it had the XR8 engine???
