Don't know if any NSW people saw the item in the Daily Telegraph Auto section Friday 6.11 where Ford says they want to put a high performance engine option in the Territory but they can't fit a V8 in. They will go for a turbo 6. Probably stating the obvious I guess.

I was speaking to the salesperson who sold me my Territory on Friday, and she was saying that the dealership's FPV salesperson had received some sort of communication from FPV about them developing an FPV variant, which would be at minimum a 6T one would guess??

The editor of the motoring section of the News Limited press Ian Gover mentioned on talkback on Friday that a turbo was given formal approval (although proto's have been running for a long time). He wondered whether it would be an FPV model taking some form of XR tag. He also mentioned that in the upcoming motoring awards based on judging by a varied group of journo's he had nominated the Territory as his best car for 2004.
