Be thankful its not that hideous red leather they slapped in the G220, yuk! Every female who say it said the same thing "lovely car, pity about the colour of the seats".
Personally I like the Territory interior colour, black is a bit tacky and dated for me.
For some (many ?) people, the green/grey trim may be OK but I like black. Simply much more practical for my family and I.
Even the dealers admit that they lose sales because there is only one color (well two if you count green and grey !!!)
Anyone know if there are plans for black one day ?
I would be looking at a TS or Ghia in a few months time but unless there is a change there is no hope... A XR type spec would be OK too...
Anyone know ???
Thanks
Just do what I did - I got the TS with charcoal leather trim, door inserts, centre console etc... and it still came in cheaper than the Ghia - just see the trhread "What prices did you guts pay?" on about page three or so.

...and that is exactly why they should give you a choice !!!...
I hate the grey/green and reckon it looks tacky and dated...!!!
The more options Ford had the more costly the end result would have been. As time goes by other colours will be introduce.
As the saying goes; you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time.
The way Territory sales are going, the interior colour does not seem to be a hindrance, and you can't really call it a green.
I like the interior colour, especially with leather seats, makes the interior look light & open, If I was advertising I'd call it; modern European-Aussie styling

Black is tacky and dated? Oh no, the darker the better - like a coal mine inside is my preference. That said, the TX interior made me want to puke. 80s Sigma velour all over again. I had enough of that in the 80s.
So we went for the Ghia and I love the colour of the leather. Luckily though the dealer threw in some floormats just because "he can't stand to see the carpets get dirty". I'm glad he did too, because it rained pretty heavily when we picked the beast up. The floormats saved the day...
Hopefully the FPV Turbo variety will be available with nice black leather. mmm... Leather so dark light cannot escape.
Well, it is good to see that it isn't only me who would like a dark color. It isn't as if I am asking for Red !!!
Choice is a nice thing - with the X5, I had a choice of beige, grey, black or green (So that is what Ford was thinking of - pity BMW discontinued that selection due to the vomit that was constantly being removed from the demos - ah just kidding !!!)
Yes but with BMW they can afford the choice and personalisation because they are making such ridiculously OBSCENE amounts of money on each car that they can give you a pink engine cover and rose coloured glass if you really want it. Remember the Territory is a more mass produced vehicle and it is killing the market currently, selling extremely well. I doubt Ford could, for the price they're charging for the Territory, afford 2 different interior trims and dash etc, let alone 4. Remember it is favourably compared to a vehicle 2-3 times the price (the X5) so value for money rocks in my books. As for re-trimming the interior, I totally agree, just buy a TS with options and Re trim the interior, wheels, doors and console in Dark leather, would look sensational.
