Has anyone had trouble locking the tray under the driver's seat?

I assume the ignition key is used to lock/unlock it?? Mine won't.

I had some trouble at first, mainly due to me locking and unlocking while trying to remove the key!!
Seems to be turn right to lock and left to unlock.
Just a quick flick left of right, then let key return to centre to remove.

Question - Is the drawer's lock flush with the front of the drawer?

The reason I ask this, is that I have a "hole" about 1/2" to 5/8" in diameter where the lock barrel should be I think, but if I have a look down this "hole" all I can see is a small metal plate with about a 3mm hole in it, about 15 - 20mm down the hole. My iginition key is able to just touch this plate and rotate it a bit, but no locking/unlocking is happening.

The "hole" has moulded lugs on each side of it, which look like they would hold something - like the lock barrel or similar.

Is anyone able to post a picture of the front of the drawer, where the lock is??

As I suspected, I am missing the centre of the lock mechanism.
