Moble phone install in Ghia

I fitted the Nokia CK-7W kit in my Territory this week with the Nokia cradle and antenna coupler. I am using the car amp phone input instead of the Nokia-supplied speaker. All is working well but I noticed that when I use the phone and the Audio system switches over, it says "Media" on the display. I used the 4 pin phone connection behind the fuse box and the 2 pin connector for the phone audio but I wanted to be sure I did it right. I thought I would have seen 'Phone' on the display instead of Media given I used the phone connection and the input is mono, not stereo.

I also managed to get the phone fitted to the right of the ICC, where the start button on the GT lives, all with no holes drilled on the dash. The best part of all is that the time display on the phone is a great, near my normal line of sight, clock display!!

Is the 'Media' display normal ?

Re: Moble phone install in Ghia

My Parents have the same kit fitted in their Ghia. It does display "Media" also.

One thing that does bug, is if you are looking through the menus trying to find a number... The Radio/Cd cuts back in after a few seconds... and it makes a loud noise when moving from Radio to "Media" for the phone...... Weird.

Create a profile that is for your car. You can set this profile to be automatically applied when the phone is in the car. Turn off all the menu sounds and you wont get this problem.

Great idea - makes using the phone in the car a much better proposition...
