Re: to polish or wax ?????

Bowdens own car care products
Coming from the people who own Aussies toughest car collection
You can be garranteed that it is both effective yet gentle.
(and also includes good directions of use - Even if all I can imagine whilst reading it is Chris' erratic gestures as he explains)

A few questions stay in my mind after reading this:
Are you saying that White does not have a clearcoat? If it doesn't - why not?
Does white just have more coats of paint then?
Out of curiosity - How many coats of undercoat/paint goes on these days?

The white is still a polymer paint whereas all other colours are now water-born base-clear. Yes I believe it is just much thicker layer of paint.

All cars go through an electrocoat dip which gives them a complete e-coat protective underlayer. From memory next they get a primer layer. This layer can be colour coded on some paints, so that you dont get a highly visible under colour if you get a stone chip (god forbid!). Next comes the base colour layer. Clear coat is then applied over that.

Re: to polish or wax ?????

here's my 5 cents worth,

I've had a lighting strike terry for about 3 months and decided to use the 'Mothers' 3 step process after much internet research. Cleaner - Sealer -Wax. New you may not need the cleaner and just use the sealer and wax. I waited a month for the paint to harden a bit then used all 3.
It's a lot easier than it sounds (3 products) and the results are great. They'll only be better on a dark colour. To keep it looking great a quick use of showtime (an instant detailer) gets rid of those finger prints and stuff you get in between washs.
My other car is a deep blue Audi which is 3 yrs old that I tried with the products first and the results were stunning. Also clayed that one which I had never tried before and couldn't believe the stuff. You don't realise what builds up on your car.
