Rear bumper cost

Just looking at some Terri part numbers & prices & found this;

SX17D781A COVER, REAR BUMPER Less Parking Aid $368.55

SX17D781BP COVER, REAR BUMPER With Parking Aid $300.30

That is not a mistake.

Yeah they are reasonably priced, but why is the bumper with the Reversing sensors cheaper?

it won't be for long if you point it out - oh and no free beers for guessing which ones price they'll change...

I hope your only joking.

Because between this site & another that you are involved in, it is starting to feel like Big Brother.

It is great to have an inside voice that helps out with questions & tips. But, if Ford are going to continuously go to forums, & reprimand forum members that may or may not be Ford emplyees because they share info like; new oil coolers, and report back to HQ info found by forum members that do Ford no harm but cause change to the detriment of the forum members, then I'll understand fully how Ford have made some of their inbred decisions in the past.

So, ha ha ha ha. Good one Territory good to see you like to have a joke.
You are joking?

Re: Rear bumper cost

Hey lets cool it johnydep. First it's not a joke I'm sure, and it's great that this forum has an outcome of having Ford correct a small error. Secondly it's great that we have Territory on the forum with candid and helpful comments - I'm inclined to respond to that participation with politeness and discretion otherwise we'll have no feedback from Ford and we'll only be talking to ourselves and the thin blue air. I don't detect any Big Brother stuff on any of the forums. I'm sure Ford have policies relating to public comment by employees like ANY organisation, for very good reasons. Nothing inbred about that.

I've been following those other two forums including the one you mention but have chosen to participate in this one because it seems to be the most active and informative. It's a pity the discussion can't all come together in one forum. I know this one seems to be based in the US of A but we Aussies are good at defending our turf and capable of fighting off any adverse intervention by a US moderator! Besides its good to let others read all about our home-grown world-beating car.

Lets all stay cool and enjoy.

If it's not a joke, then I have helped end an error that favoured a large portion of Territory owners. This leads me to the conclusion that I should not pass on any information that may benefit you and others, because in the end it will be lost to all.

Ford do not give us any feed back here, someone from Ford is here to help Ford first & foremost.

If a member of Ford wishes to be part of a public forum they should be one of the guys & not a supervisor. think of it as going out for a drink with your mates, when you get into the pub everything that's talked about is between us, office rules are left at the office.
Does anyone really think that Ford will suffer from us passing on tid bits?

Ford need us more than we need them.
Remember the AU? Ford decided to design it with no outside input, it was all in house. They nearly went broke. With the Territory, Ford decided to find out what the public want & build a vehicle on that info, hence the popularity of the Terri.

Ford are again gathering info, and I think it is great to have Territory here, but lets help each other.
Leave work where it belongs, and join us in a drink & lets spill our guts to each other without having to look behind us.

Re: Rear bumper cost

I hear what you're saying johnydep but I don't see it that way. I've worked for a major car manufacturer in the past and I've been a member of the buying public before and since. From either perspective I don't see anything sinister. This forum's cool and unhassled from what I can see. The Ford Company is not a monster and Territory's welcome as far as I'm concerned - as are all other users and their valuable info.
