rear dust deflector

has anyone had the rear dust deflector attached to their territory & how effective have they found it when travelling on dirt roads at reducing the amount of dust build up on the back and on the rear sill etc.

Re: rear dust deflector

I have one fitted to my terri and it works very well , I do quite abit of dirt road work and the deflector does a good job of keeping the dust off the back window, the dust still settles on the lower parts of the tailgate and tends to end up inside when you lift it. Recently I covered about 500k's on a road with quite abit of deep bull dust on it, only when you slowed down to plough though the realy deep bull dust holes did the dust settle on the back window, but after you picked up enough speed to make the defecter work the dust cleared. You still get a thin film on the window but not enough to obstruct your vision.

Thumbs up Re: rear dust deflector

Had my Territory for three months and had heaps of dust building up in ripples on the back window. Finally got a dust deflector (not mistaking it for a rear spoiler) installed and works a treat. I travel dirt roads every day to work. Pictures can be seen on a similar thread and forum with same site name as above, but ending in dot au. You'll need to register to discuss though. Don't have enough space to my account here to add the pictures again, but can email you if you want.

Re: rear dust deflector

I went on the dirt and found significant dust build up - covering the top rear brake light.
The amount of dust has reduced significantly since I installed a deflector (easy to do yourself). Also looks ok imo.
