We've only had the Territory for a week and been oh so careful. So naturally a 70 year old in a Comby Van decides to run up our backside.
I wouldn't have a clue if his car was damaged because it was all beaten up anyway. His nice chunky tire on the front has cracked our bumper bar and put a hole in the tailgate.
Bloody lovely. And then he tried to blame us.
Here's how it worked. My brother was driving, slowed down and stopped at a turn left with care waiting for the traffic. The other guy thought we had gone, turned to check if there was any more oncoming traffic and hit the accelerator. Problem was we hadn't gone yet.
Sigh. It's just a minor bingle and accidents happen of course, but sigh...
Going and getting the quotes, etc is the pain in the behind bit plus letting my wife know wasn't easy! She was pretty good about it though. I'd been thinking the first ding would have been in the school car park so it was a bit of a shock.
Hopefully the repairs go well and we won't have to be without it for too long.

If it makes you feel any better no matter what the other guys claims, he has run up the back of you and from an insurance point of view will be considered responsible.
It will all get fixed soon, never mind....damn it!..lol
Hard luck, hope it gets fixed to good condition again
My old man has had no insurance claims in about 45 yrs of driving, then in the last 3 weeks he has had 2 accidents, no sooner had he picked it up from the repair shop (minor damage, '02 Prado t/diesel) some young bloke ran up his clacker, both not his fault

Had somone run up my arse last year. My Falcon was off road two month.
It legally not your fault if they hit you from behind, so it wont cost ya, but it sure wrecks the joy of a new car.
