Squeeling Brakes....

Hi All,
Does anybody else suffer the squeeling brake sindrome??
Only happens when slowing for slow corners/traffic lights etc.
A prod on the peddle with a bit more for will stop the squeel until you release the pressure again.
Obviously everybody else is having this problem, but has not said anything!!! (Well the Ford Service guy assures me "they all do it!!" - I am really getting pissed off with that line!).
Regards
Rocket

Re: Squeeling Brakes....

No they don't all do it - don't accept that comment from a dealer. Just about every problem I've read about in this forum our Territory doesn't have, so presumably they're glitches that affect a minority of cars and should be fixed under warranty.

Re: Squeeling Brakes....

I actually noticed mine do that in the work car park a few days ago.
I had never noticed it before but if they all do it it must have always been there :)

Re: Squeeling Brakes....

Most cars will do it to some degree, I know my EL falcon does. Sometimes the reasons are to to with the pad / disk material compound or just not correctly machined disks not that most terriotory's would have done that yet.

Re: Squeeling Brakes....

My Terri seems to have stopped grinding when cold. It's possible that they could be bedding in properly now - who knows? I'll keep my ears open but it's definitely working better - without any service work.
