Ok so I saw the ad for the first time last night (actually saw it twice but who's counting) and initial impressions are as follows:
- Nice 'clean' ad, showed the car off nicely (as well as some nice bikini clad chicks!)
- Possibly not enough of the car shown at the start...with more of a focus on special effects, but by the end they had shown some nice shots of the car.
- Great tune, fits in well with the feel of the ad
- Possibly a bit too similar to the Adventra ads
- Showed well what it is able to do (people mover, trecking in the bush etc etc)
- Brilliant little pan of it at the end again was able to show the car off well
- Maybe a little bit more information about it rather than that little blurb at the end was warranted
Overall I am pleased that they produced a good ad for once.

I saw it for the first time on channel 9 during the sunday night movie "Don't say a word"....then I saw it during Friends the next night...obviously also on channel 9. I haven't actually seen it on other channels yet...but I would assume they will put it on when parents will be watching, or when teenagers may be watching.

I think the ad is quite good, especially compared to Ford's previous efforts. Thank God it doesn't use anything from those terrible "You'd be popular too" dealership ads. I still don't think it quite matches the quality of the Holden ads. The tempo of the song is a little slow for my liking - would have liked something a little more up-beat.
And as someone has already mentioned - it's a little bit too similar to the Holden Adventra ad. But at least the Territory one includes an scene at the local sports field - the inclusion of an urban scene is important, because that's were the car will spend the majority of its time.
I must say that I am extremely glad they put the "soccer mum" bit into the ad, hopefully allows them to see that it is perfect for such a situation. I don't actually mind the tempo of the ad, it is a good aussie song, and a very catchy one at that...also calms you down which is important for the stressful mothers it is targeting :)

The soccer mum/urban warrior scene at the end was a very clever piss take. At least Ford understand how the car will be used. I guess their endless focus groups and general faffing about with questionaires really paid off.
