Hmmm thats like saying the Touareg, Cayenne, XC90 are all old fashioned too. No more SUVs because apparently they have been around for a while.... Sedans are also old get rid of them too....

Hate to say this, but Land Rover had a 4wd luxury wagon before that. It was called the TICKFORD Station wagon, or similar, and dated from about 1950. Plus they had the normal wagon abit after that.

That's got a full chassis, based on the Jeep trucks (pickups - F series equiv) of the day, etc - in what way is it similar to the Territory? Initially I thought this was going to be the AMC Eagle, but that's not quite the same as the Territory either, more like the Subaru Outback or Volvo XC70/Cross Country.

The first car based AWD was the Jensen Interceptor FF. The first wagon based AWD, albeit very limited production, was the Triumph Mk2 2.5Pi FF Estate. And yes that was it's full name! Both cars date from around 1968-1970.

No worries, I don't think anyone would believe the Territory is anything revolutionary in concept anyway.

PS. AFAIK the first awd car was a Dutch car, the Spyker from 190something.

1903 Spyker 60hp 6 cylinder 8.8 litre 4 wheel drive
