Re: Territory Fuel Economy

Hi All,
One thing I have noticed is when the trip computer says 0km to empty (i know I should not do it, but it happens with quite alarming regularity.....usually after the wife drives ;-) ) the tank will still only take between 69-71 litres of fuel, so there is still 4-6 litres still in the tank.

Yes but as in ALL vehicles you never get that last bit because the pump won't get to it. Also, as mentioned in many posts, don't run the tank that empty too often as the pump uses the fuel for it's cooling. If you run nearly empty too often you'll cook the pump - never mind the issue of not having any fuel to pump when you go around corners!!

Having only 4-6 litres left in a tank is EMPTY for nearly all cars!!

75L tank. Last few litres are not usable.
Hey Pistol, how did the primary kids know about it?

Kids these days know everything! Apparently as my wife pulled up outside the school they all went in unison - "Wow! A Ford Territory Ghia All Wheel Drive". They've obviously got good taste.

Re: Territory Fuel Economy

At first I was rather shocked at the amount of fuel my Ghia RWD was drinking. Now after 11,000 km it has settled down to around 12 L/100km around town. When I do any country driving I always have a large dog float in tow so get around 14l/100km dragging that along I tend to have rather a lead foot.
