Re: Territory production line?

Can't believe he was going to try and make you accept that.

How did they fix it? Can you tell that part of the paintwork isn't perfect anymore?

I'm not sure how it was done however it's not obvious even with the metallic burgundy paint that we chose. The scratches were not deep and where no longer then a 50 cent coin.

Re: Territory production line?

I suspect the wagon will stop production, to accomodate the Territory.
Ford has hinted at this.

Yeah, I think your right.

Holden virtually own the wagon market at the moment. I think Toyota has dropped the wagon from the Camry line up.

Does anyone remember reading somewhere that an initial Territory design study used the Fairlaine wheelbase before that was dropped and a Falcon base adopted? The only wish I have for the Territory is that it had the same boot depth of our Futura wagon for longer items. By the time you add a stroller, highchair, a couple of bags and a 35kg Golden retriever the BA certainly fills up and a Territory might struggle. Then again the driving dynamics of a T kill the BA wagon.

Not to mention the looks!
But Ford is still selling plenty of wagons, so who knows!

Aparently sales of the wagon have not changed since the release of the Territory so maybe the wagon may live on afterall. We'll have to wait until 2007 to know but the Camry wagon is gone and the Magna wagon is 12 months away from being dropped so maybe Ford should stay in the wagon market. Ford should not leave the wagon market to Holden. The wagon does not need to be dropped to accommodate Territory as the production numbers are increasing every couple of months.
