Territory in the Territory !!

Just picked up my new White Ghia AWD.
Drove it back from Alice to Darwin, after a friend had driven it from Adelaide
Was worried about fuel, but not so much now.
With between 1500 & 3000 ks on the clock, open road averages as follows:

110 - 11.5-12L/100k
130 - 15L/100k
140 - 17.7
150 - 19.5
160 - 22.5
but the big one hurts........ 180 - 30.5L/100K !!!!!!!!

So far, I figure that driven at the same acceleration/speeds as my Patrol (3.0TD), it will use the same fuel.
More pics to follow

Re: Territory in the Territory !!

Wow, At least we know what it will be like now!!!!

Was it fairly stable at that speed ? Or was it wandering all over the shop?

From the fact you were able to take photos.... it might have been pretty stable :)

Re: Territory in the Territory !!

Congrats!

Could post an image of the outside please, I'm thinking of a white Ghia AWD myself and haven't seen on on the road yet.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Territory in the Territory !!

Hi all,

Marty, it was rock stable !!. went thru a couple of willy-willys, big ones, and hardly moved. As stable at that speed as anything I have driven.

pics were taken 2116 on the clock. first 1500 was more gentle ! (probably on account of NOT having me behind the wheel !!)

Shortly after, felt familiar enough to test the DSC. Did some increasingly abrupt roo-avoidance manouvres, till the system started kicking in.works just finedramatically reduces the secondary weight transfer, and pulled the rear into line nicely!

Most happy with the colour choice. Was originally thinking of blue or silver, then saw the 3 side by side, and it was no contest. the white jumped out!

Re: Territory in the Territory !!

Good on ya mate, that is great fuel consumption considering the vehicle weigh's over 2tonne and is an auto, it would have been right at home in those condition's up north, great pic's.
