How cool is this! I noticed this in the broshure and thought it was some gimmick but now after receiving my Terry a few days back it really works well. I read about it after in the "Bible" located in the glove box (what do you call storage area now? Gloves went out with the horse and carriage!) and it has some fluid that reacts to a current passed through when it senses the ambient light forward of the mirror is darker than the sensor light on the back (=bright headlights dazzling you from behind!) VERY effective.

Not a lot has been mentioned about this area until you discover it...
I am surprised it is still there when you option for the 7 seats? In a 5 seater this areas top is reverseable, the same as the rear floor but I imagine this would not be of real benefit in the 7 seater?

I'm starting to think this is a "feature" I find I have to give it a gentle slam to lock down too!

The premium ICC can take an AUX video input (video source such as a DVD player, or camera!), so it would just be a matter of powering the camera when in reverse - easy!, and switching to the AUX input also - do know how hard this would be???.
This is on my "want" list too. I have read about how to feed in an external feed for DVD in the Fordmods forum: http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/documents.php?doc=58

Xyphoid wrote this document some time ago for the ICC in the BA (same as Territory) and after using a reverse camera in my bosses Lexus, I reckon it's "da Biz!"

Not to be confused with the wet/dry area, which is exactly where the (folded) 3rd row goes. I am talking about a small area that exists under the normal back seat. To access it, you just need to fold the back of the 2nd row seat forward, and a space appears where the body slopes down to go under the seat - it's not very big, but holds an umbrella, and I happen to store the two packets of window shades I have there too.

I believe that 2 drink bottles come "standard". Not much good if you've got multiple kids! Put the bite on them for at least 4 drink bottles, they're not much to speak of, but het they're free! I bit them for 4, and got them without any drama (just lack the multiple kids now).

Also, if you get the 3rd row of seats, get some instruction on putting them up and down, the instructions in the manual take some reading!

Re: Terry: His first long trip & life with him after 3 weeks

I'll give you the kids to go with the extra bottles burnsi - I've got 4 to choose from. And I think we've all discovered the areas under the seats by now. By the way, there's still a wet area behind the 3rd row seats when they're up (Ford and their salesmen do not seem to know about half these things) and even when they're down I manage to get a few nick nacks into the remaining space without interfering with the seats. It never ends.

hmmm 8 huh...i recently drove a VY2 Berlina V8 up to canberra and couldn't get better than 10.9 while babying it. Granted it has good fuel economy but 8...i don't think so.

A thought:
Series (Mk?) 2 Territory gets 6 speed manual option across the range, as well as a turbo model? Looks a certainty, dont you think?

Your right burnsi, there are soooo many hidey holes in these!
In my 5 seater I have the wet/dry area you mentioned, THEN another smaller wet/dry area behind the middle row (I imagine this area would be the footwell of your rear seat passengers?) & then I now understand where you were referring to the sloping area behind and under the middle row seat! *phew* What an effort to explain.....

Marty :)

Good review Burnsi, that fuel consumption is very good considering the family was in plus all the luggage

Certainly a good car to drive, even for those who generally prefer performance cars too
