Total Control for AWD Territory

In another outstanding industry first, Ford's new AWD Territory will boast the first stability control system available on an Australian-built vehicle.

Ford Australia President Geoff Polites said customers would benefit enormously from the thousands of hours' work Ford engineers had devoted to the program, working hand-in-hand with experts from Bosch Automotive's Chassis Systems division.

Re: Total Control for AWD Territory

No, they don't need better suspension, or less weight ir more power.

They need to be engineered for lap times. Read Mcihael Taylors response on ls1.com.au to the BFYB thread.

He says Holden engineer their cars that way but at the detriment to the front tyres, as well as balance, etc. Ford have a different perspective, and engineer their cars for better ride, balance and 'chuckability' to paraphrase Michael.

It requires philisophical/chassis+suspension engineering, not the other things as such.

That is true Venom XR, but if Ford are willing to drop Kg and add Kw/Nm then I for one will not complian and this can only aid handling

Re: Total Control for AWD Territory

Maybe the Falcons are engineered correctly, that is for road use. Not track specials!

Wasn't the XR6T everyone's pick as the best road car in BFYB?

Re: Total Control for AWD Territory

Very interesting read, hopefully the systems will combine together to make a great new Ford vehicle (of course they will!!!)
