hmm, all those pics for me still hint at a 4wd falcon.
Why would you have descent control on a rwd car??
Looks like Geoff got a couple of cards up his sleaves that he aint telling us about

Not sure what you mean here about the "RWD" statement - the Territory will be available in AWD and RWD.
Can only hope some of this stuff can be adapted into a Falcon/Fairmont without a cost increase/performance decrease.

i was just saying like how will hill descent technology help in a rwd tezza, isnt it only meant for 4wd/awd? but i sure am excited at the possibility of turbo 6 awd falcon beasts on the road. Watch out WRX cos the 'T' is coming to eat u

hmm i was wondering if ford aus dropped the awd drivetrain under the BA body.. those pics answer that.
i wouldnt be suprised if AWD wasnt an option for the RTV at least.. but the idea of AWD V8s would be lovely, but it depends if it all fits under the bonnet.
Previous ride: EBII V8 Manual Ghia spring roll.
Current ride: 1970 ZC 351 Fairlane Custom.. (estimated 350ftlb @ 2000rpm.. max torque 420ftlb at 4500rpm.. with standard exhaust manifold!)
Hill descent control only involves brakes so there’s no reason it couldn’t go on the rwd Tezza, or Falcon for that matter! Exactly why you would want to is another question…
The new Prado, Rangie, Discovery, Merc ML, BMW X5 (& others) all have descent & stability controls.
No, they don't need better suspension, or less weight ir more power.
They need to be engineered for lap times. Read Mcihael Taylors response on ls1.com.au to the BFYB thread.
He says Holden engineer their cars that way but at the detriment to the front tyres, as well as balance, etc. Ford have a different perspective, and engineer their cars for better ride, balance and 'chuckability' to paraphrase Michael.
It requires philisophical/chassis+suspension engineering, not the other things as such.
From my limited understanding of the Holden AWD system, it will have stability control BUT it wont be enabled for a little while until Holden are 100% happy that the AWD system is working perfectly. One thing at a time.
