Unless you are after LOUD Doof Doof, i think you will be pleasantly suprised by the Quality of the sound. It is quite good for a Standard Fitment. Had my wife looking forward to a long trip in it....

I have the Ghia and I think the TS has the same sound system. the sound system is quite good, but it is lacking the extra speakers that make the Holden's top range sound magnificent. I hope that on the next model, Ford bring the sound system up to the same level of their competitors.

bfmp - it's a very good basic system. Maybe equivalent to a $500-1000 unit. The speakers are basic as well. The sound isn't quite as clear in the bass area as I'd have liked - I'd say this is due to the small door speakers. A subwoofer is not a substitute for a woofer no matter how good it is.

So... yes it would benefit from more $ if you want a serious system. I think the head unit's OK @ 250watts total, just the speakers that could do with further work.

You guys are very fussy or serious audiophiles. For Jo Average like me it is a brilliant sound system.

Guy's, sources tell me that it's actually a Bose system and the speakers are quite good and all they need is a bit more power going to them and they sound a treat. So a simple option would be to just fit an amp - but the question is then where to put it?

Yes it is - but you will need to keep that one and put in an additional one.

Yes - that's why there wasn't another storage box for there. Wasn't that just the subwoofer amp though??

One of the requirements when buying my TS, was that it wouldn't be downgrading in features from the AU Fairmont. The TS offers all of this. A quality sound system was number three on my list of priorities (behind safety, and cost of parts). The sub is good, the six stack makes a bit of noise when changing cd's, and a slight crack noise when skipping or repeating tracks.

Initially when researching the Territory and other Aussie Fords, I heard that once purchased you can't change the unit in the dash beacuse of the depth. Is this correct. Like many other cars in the past you could fit another sound system, but in the Fords and Territory being a Ford, you can't. I also heard that the controller is SHARP. Is this also the case?
