What would you change for the next model Territory?

I love the car and my wish list is just that ... a list of really nice things to have rather than any gripes or problems ....

My top ten

1. a Euro sourced common rail turbo diesel - a 3 litre turbo diesel with roughly 150kw and 450Nm+ torque.
2. either Barra 240 turbo option on Ghia or more likely an "XR model" Territory with the turbo and some sporty touches to the exterior (twin exhaust rear end, maybe 18 inch wheels and deletion of chrome jewellery on the car).
3. New (min.) 120 litre fuel tank replacing the current 75 litre unit.
4. Optional "country" pack that gives the car increased ground clearance (200-210mm) preferably with minimal effect on ride/handling and also fits the car with a more ATW tread pattern tyre (eg. Bridgestone Desert Dueller).
5. Black surround headlights on all models incl. Ghia and TS. Hell of a lot sportier than the woosy chrome headlights ....
6. Let FPV loose to build their version of the T ... with the 270kW Typhoon motor .... now there's a car for the Dad driving his family!
7. Optional interior packages. Offer the sportier trim options that are available in the XR Falcons in Territory across the range. People love to individualise their cars these days.
8. Increased contrast trim colour. I really like the Eucalyptus tone colouring in the car coz it looks classy and somehow European but the one regular comment I hear when showing my car to others is "is there a darker colour trim?" .... Maybe Ford need to offer a second interior colour theme like in Falcon?
9. Make a factory fit sunroof available.
10. Drop the price on every model by $10K .....

Good list of options that they should make available you put there.
The main option that could boost the territory sales alot more than they already are, is the turbo.

dropping the price 10K is highly unlikely, they need to be making as much possible as they can..

i like the country package though, theyve got the option on the Falcon for its IRS, why not territiory?

no doubt the turbo would sell well .... but the bigger sales would be for the diesel, especially if it was a good one .... most units north of the Qld, NT border and of course, most cars in the country are diesel ....

turbo is predominantly a city/metro phenomenon .....

I just can't see the Boss happening. The head office marketing people (in the US) will kill it. How many Exploders will Ford sell if there's a Territory V8 with EVERYTHING better (better engine, Exterior, Interior, ESP)? Zilch!

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

Organza, I'd tick seven of those option boxes.

FYI
The CAPA blown Boss 260 v8 Terrortory is for sale in this months Unique cars $80k. Then you probably lose AWD but hey would be more fun in the dirt with the back end hanging out. Ride height will be an issue as it sits low.

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I have been very happy with my Territory, especially with the options I just got, but I wouldn't mind;
Larger fuel tank - 120+ litres.
6 speed auto.
Better fuel usage.
10 speaker sound system.
Darker factory tint (in the glass, not a tint film).
Easier closing doors (my kids have trouble getting the leverage to pull the door hard enough to shut properly, thier getting better thou.
Foot rest.
Lights around the cruise & sound controls on the steering wheel.
A way to stop the excess amount of dust build up at the rear.
Easier second row & third row seat mechanisms for lowering & lifting (maybe I just need some more practice).
