Perhaps the extra speakers could be part of the 7-seater option on all sound systems. Definitely agree with the mp3 issue!

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

After 2000k's there is a couple of minor things I would change

1. The rear cargo shelf the back section needs to flip in both directions so you can get to the back part of the boot via the glass section of the tail gate when you have a couple of things sitting on the shelf

2. The front section (closest to the seat) of cargo area floor needs to either flip in the same direction as the back section or needs to be easier to flip with the rear seats in their normal upright position, as this storgae area is next to usesless as it is too hard to get into

3. Deeper side storage pockets in the cargo area

4. Offer shockwave as a colour choice.

5. Offer premium sound (not prestige) as an option on the TX

These are all really minor impact although take some design rework to do

I don't understand, do you mean for it to flip down as well?

For me, I can get to the back part of the boot via the glass section of the tail gate when you have a couple of things sitting on the shelf, just move the stuff off the moveable section of the shelf. If it was posible to make the shelf swing both ways, you would still need to move your gear off the moveable section otherwise it will fall into the boot section.

currently you have push it down ( or pull up the two black tabs) and the whole shelve folds in 3 sections distubing anything on the front part of the shelf

if you could simply flip the back part of the shelf up it would create a small access area to get to things at the back of the boot area leaving anything on the front part of the shelf alone.

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

Re the shelf I find that you don't have to entirely disturb whats sitting on it. You can open the tailgate end enough to get into the cargo net/floor by standing the last fold of the shelf up to form a sort of triangle, or let its rear edge drop into the cargo space. We use the rear glass and cargo net all the time like this.

On another point, I note that the glove box lid (nearside in front of passsenger seat) is starting to warp out at its LH side (door end) presumably due to the catch being at the right combined with the weight of what's in the glovebox forcing the unsupported end of the lid out.

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

Love the options being mentioned here especiallt the darker(charcoal) leather color and the sunroof. If I may add my 2 cents worth.

1. automatic key button to close the back door(similar to the RX330). This was the only feature I loved about the Lexus and would have loved it in the Terry to help my wife. Mind you it is a heavy back door to close.

2. 20 inch wheels that looks similar to the R7 concept car
3. dual AUX port for MP3 players. You cannot connect an MP3 player to the aux port if you already have the REX3 system. Bummer!
4. Signal blinking lights on the side mirrors
5. Bling, Bling roof rail, side running boards, and door panels(similar to the Cayennes)
6. Flat floor at the rear passenger side.
7. Automatic Rain sensoring windshield & wipers
8. Remove the grey rear attached spoiler and simply replace with the same bumper material.
9. red calipers with Ford logo
10. alloy sports pedals similar to the GT-P

Little touches which I am sure does not cost an earth to include either in the next release or as added options(except for #6) for the current versions.

That reminds me; on a retrun holiday driving at night, my wife noticed light coming from the seems of the glove box, it was flicking on & off. We had a few extra things in the glove box for the trip, removed a couple & all was fixed. But what would have happened if the light was not noticed, flat battery!
The glove boxed did not look like it was partially open, it must have been having a catch onlyu on one side, as you mention.

#1. I don't understand what your doing with the cargo shelf either AussieCJ7.

I pull up on the black-tabs and fold the rear section to the collapsed position and close it again. You then have easy access to the cargo area from the glass door. Also, you shouldn't be carrying very much of anything on the cargo shelf (unless you also have a rear barrier) as they will become projectiles under emergency braking or a crash.

#5. Buy a TS

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

How about a spare wheel the same as the rest so I can properly rotate the tyres and it doesn't look stupid if I have a flat and have to change it.
Surely this wouldn't cost much more than the standard steel wheels.
