Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

Not limited just to Territory but how about Ford Dealers that not only have a good attitude but also some clue about the product they are trying to sell.

The general level of product knowledge amongst the sales and service staff is appalling! The parts guys seem to be the only ones on the ball!

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I would love to see an AWD FPV F6 Territory [insert name in here] with 270kw/550nm of ball tearing turbo IL6 power! Would give Porsche Cayenne's a scare.

Another nice one would be that common rail direct injetion Turbo (or is it twin turbo) diesel V6 that's used in Jaguars. I am sure there is sufficeint market for diesel now.

I'd also Love to see a V8, but I can't see that happening anytime soon. They need an AWD V8. If not, why not make just a RWD V8? If CAPA can do it, so can Ford.

You've all suggested a mountain of features, what about the appearance?

1. A better grille - more aggresive looking like an FPV one.

2. Bonnet with vents - meaning a turbo underneath!!

Right. Got it. Nothing else? This is your chance! :)
How about the release date of the six speed auto?...I need a time line... on a less critical note: how about cargo area with the same depth as a BA wagon. Maybe revisit the inital thoughts of basing the T on a Fairlaine wheel base.

Definitely add them, dunno what we'll use them for, but they'll come in handy somewhere! Maybe to hang the missus' knickers on, when they come off in a hurry!

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I just found this site and was glad I found a suitable topic....I want a manual transmission option!! Only a couple of people have mentioned it, but it is so important to me that I refuse to buy a car without one. I urge anyone else with the same sentiments to contact Ford as I have, because the only way we're going to see a manual is if Ford percieves a demand for one. A quick question for anyone who knows - is there any reason why Ford can't fit a standard Falcon manual transmission to the territory? If they can, I can't comprehend why they aren't offering a manual as an option, because they are certainly losing sales because of it.

Besides that, I can't identify anything else that needs changing.

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I think finding a suitable gearbox with a transfer case for the AWD would be the reason. I don't think the T56 or the T5 are suitable for this. Low demand plus high development costs equals no chance of seeing the light of day.

Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I would like to see some updated features applied to the trip computer, these have not advanced since my ED fairmont ghia. Also some nicer colours, most of the current ones are a bit bland. They could make the XR colours available for the Ghia, now that would make them stand out in the crowd! I would love a bright yellow one. Perhaps also a choice of alloys. Pretty happy with everything else. Maybe they could include a number of brochures as everywhere I go I have people asking me about it.
