Last night my wife told me that the washer bottle had run out of water, so I look for the biggest container we have & fill it with water from my filtered water tap at the sink. Lift the bonnet & fill the bottle only to be able to get one litre of water into it.

Is that right?

Has anyone else filled up the bottle?

One litre does not seem right.

Not sure... I dont think our AU Fairmont holds awfully much in the reservoir either... not sure.

Who cares though, its a Territory; just fill up all your complementary water bottles with water!

What I found is that the squirter pipes drain completely if not used regularily. It takes about 15 seconds to get the water up to the washers. Ford are getting a couple of little non return valves to hold the water.

My Corolla, takes a 3 litre milk container, and isnt quite full...! You would think they could fit more into the Territory with bucket loads more room in the guards!

(Sorry, my attempt at humour...)
Since picking up my Territory, whenever I use the windscreen washers, they squeel from the water sprays (anybody else have this problem?).
When I took it in for its 1st service, was told (as usual) "they all do that".
The next time I was at the dealers, I checked out a couple of T's in the new car division, and surprise, no noise.
I went back to the service department and was told "easy to fix, we have to replace the passenger side water sprayer as some of them have become really noisy (they have a pressure valve so that it sprays water evenly on both sides) and they now have an updated version".

Made me Laugh :), But, it was the biggest container i could get to fill it...!

I havnt heard that noise from the Territory yet.....

I have the squealing noise when I use mine too. Very annoying. Good to hear there is a fix for it.

That must explain the pathetic cow noise coming from the horn.
I have trouble even filling the washer bottle in its enclosed position without spilling water all over the engine. The access could be better.
