02 4x4 Module

After reading most of the threads on here, it seems the most likely cause for my 02 Explorer not going into any of the 4x4 modes is the 4x4 module. Someone on here said it is located behind the glove box and others say behind the pass. side kick panel. Can anybody confirm? And also, does anyone have the actual part name or part number so I can track one down?
