02 mounty trailer blinker problems

Let me start off by saying I am glad I found this forum. I am also a member of the explorer forum and posted this question there but havent had much luck with responses. I am also a member of the Jeep forum ( over 2400 postings) not a troll
My mounty has the factory tow package with the 4 pin flat connector and the usual hidden brake controller wire stuffed under behind the glove box
It had the 1.25 receiver hitch and upgraded to the 2" receiver

I also installed the adapter from 4 to seven pin to mate up with my trailer

Re: 02 mounty trailer blinker problems

When I first hooked everything up it all worked fine but my 7 pin plug was just zip tied to the frame. I then cut a hole in the bumper and mounted the plug in the bumber and thats where the trouble started
I am now testing the lights by using a set of magnetic tow lights plugged into the original 4 pin connector. I only get the parking lamps to work. No blinkers or brakes
There is power under the hood at the trailer blinker relays but its not getting to the plugs at the rear through the loom going the length of the mounty. I checked it with a multi-meter

The only fuses I can find and check are
under dash- trailer tow battery charge- 5 amp
under the hood- trailer tow battery - 30 amp
under the hood- trailer tow lamps- 20 amp
I replaced relay 64 and 65 under the hood on the pass side for the trailer tow blinkers . I know these are getting power and hear them click as they blink

I replaced these relays

and the ones here

Power is getting to these plugs for the parking lamps but not to the blinkers or brakes. Its cold going up the loom to the front of the mounty to where ever

This is what I am towing

I have to tow fron NY to MA early saturday morning and dont want to run not being fully functional

all ideas are are greatly welcome.
Thanks in advance

See if fuse #3 and #7 under the have power with the brake light or hazards on. Those are the feeds from the front to the trailer plug. If they don't, you'll have to check the combination (turn signal) switch. The wires from the combi switch to the fuses are dark blue/white and brown/yellow.

Re: 02 mounty trailer blinker problems

Thanks. I will check that when I get home tonight. It sure does sound like a fuse related problem

If you ment under hood , #3 is the GCC pusher fan ( export only )20 amp ( but there is power going to the one hot blade, theres not 2 blades in that spot )
#7 is power point number 2 and is hot and the fuse is good

under the dash 3 is radio and 7 is heated mirrors,,, both work

Thanks for the ideas. Times running out.
Did i mention I also have the interior lights on/off doors lock/unlock by themselves problem. My rear hatch is also cracked and i just read the two are related

Thanks again,

James
